WORK SHOWN IN THIS STORY

Documented process design

INSIDE THE WORK

Two work orders.
One traceable product.

A process-design decision: produce in bulk, then package for demand.

  1. 01 / RECEIVE

    Raw materials

    Record actual weight.
    Capture lot and expiry.

  2. 02 / PRODUCE

    Bulk units

    Consume raw materials.
    Create an each-level lot.

  3. 03 / PACKAGE

    Finished cases

    Consume units, packaging,
and labor on a separate work order.

  4. 04 / FULFILL

    Pick, pack, ship

    Sell the case SKU.
Fulfill through WMS and Ship Central.

The decision behind the design

Keeping production separate from packaging lets the same batch feed different case configurations. Packaging materials and labor become part of the finished-case cost.

Simplified visual summary of project documentation. Client identifiers and internal records are omitted.

01 / THE WORK

The business question

How should a manufacturer track raw materials by weight, produce in batches, package into different case sizes, and preserve traceability and cost through fulfillment? The answer crosses production, warehouse, and financial processes.

02 / THE WORK

The workflow we documented

RefureTech developed an end-to-end NetSuite manufacturing and warehouse process design covering purchasing, lot-controlled receiving, work-order picking, component consumption, finished-goods labels, and sales fulfillment.

03 / THE WORK

Production and packaging have different jobs

The design separates bulk production from packaging work orders. Case configurations have distinct inventory records, while packaging materials and labor feed into finished-case cost. It also addresses outsourced production and repackaging.

04 / THE WORK

What this story covers

A documented manufacturing and WMS workflow design, including NetSuite WMS and Ship Central. It demonstrates requirements and process-design work; it is not presented as a completed implementation or a measured production improvement.
